Window Alternatives replaces the existing rotten wood window components with new solid wood material. Although Window Alternatives has provided you with the best possible material, sealing, and surface preparation, all exterior wood will be affected by weather. If not properly maintained, the new wood we have provided will rot as well. No guarantee or extended warranty, written or implied, is provided for the long-term integrity of restored wood windows. Regular, annual maintenance of wood windows is imperative to their longevity. Inevitably, the effects of weather and moisture will cause damage to any exterior wood product. Proper maintenance of such materials will deter, but not prevent the rotting process.
